Effects of protein deficiency


Protein is very necessary for muscles, skin, hormones and enzymes in our body. These perform many important jobs in our body. There are 20 types of amino acids in our body. 8 of these amino acids are the most important. Because our body cannot produce them. We can get these eight acids only through food. The other 12 acids are produced by our body. The tiny molecules in protein are made up of amino acids.

The requirement of protein depends on one’s height and weight. The amount of protein can vary depending on age, health, and work. If you are of average weight and do not exercise, you may need between 0.36 and 0.6 grams of protein per pound. It is calculated that men need 51 to 91 grams of protein and women need 46 to 75 grams of protein daily.

There are high chances of BP due to protein deficiency. If the body does not get proper nutrition, all the organs will not be able to function properly.

Protein deficiency and liver disease are closely related. Without protein, the detoxification work of the liver will stop.
When there is a protein deficiency the body takes calories from muscles for energy. This causes pain in the muscle fibers and arthritis. When protein levels decrease, the body becomes inflamed.
